A Chat from Jack Leary - The Racing 50 Motorcycle Club
When the Chequered flag falls in the afternoon on October 12th to mark the end of the 1963 "Enduro" it will indeed be a memorable milestone in the History of the Racing The 50 M.C.C.  for it will mark the successful running of the fourth "Enduro", 1,000 Racing Miles having been completed and will have established beyond all possible doubt the reliability of our 50 cc. Racing Machines.

The Club has indeed created a fine record, and one which I feel certain to have laid the foundations of this now Internationally famous class in no uncertain manner. The first member to cross the line, having competed in all four 250 mile Races which the Club has run, should indeed he a proud man.

Let us hope, therefore, that the Club's decision to run the Race late in the season meets with popular approval and will as a result be fully supported.
The racing cost per mile of this Annual event is without doubt the least expensive of any other race in the calendar and. the experience which, is to be gained from a race of this nature is positively invaluable as a guide to your future tuning programme, and the team work required is something absolutely unique and I would say is unlikened to any other 50 c.c. race in the world today.

Anybody who has been present at previous Club Races will, I am certain, endorse my feelings that the tempo and excitement of the races increase by the hour and no race run so far has been a foregone conclusion by a long way and I have as an official and an entrant at previous meetings experienced the thrills and excitement of this memorable race from 'both sides of the fence'.

I can assure you that when I say that I am confident that a good time will be had by all I only hope that the Clerk of the Weather having completely exhausted himself by his provision of one of the wettest Summers in memory, will give us once again fine weather for what I hope will be our best supported 'Enduro to date

Good luck to you all and may the best 'Team' win.
